Versatility is this little cardigan’s secret weapon. Elskling was originally designed with formal occasions in mind, but it works just as well over casual outfits. Dress it up with a beautiful brooch closure, or dress it down with simple buttons; either way, it’s a cardigan for all occasions.

Elskling measures 30 (32, 34, 36, 38, 42, 46, 50)” at bust. Intended to be worn with 0-2” negative ease.

Yardage requirements for each size are listed below:

590 (635, 670, 745, 800, 925, 1080, 1220) yds Schoppel-Wolle Alpaka Queen (50% wool / 50% alpaca, 219 yds per skein) in Grey Blend (#9680) 3 (3, 4, 4, 4, 5, 5, 6) skeins

Gauge: 18 stitches and 28 rows = 4 inches in stockinette on larger needles


Needles: 

Needle Size A:
- 36“ circular needle in size needed to obtain gauge
- 1 set DPNs in size needed to obtain gauge
(suggested size: US size 7 / 4.5mm)

Needle Size B, for ribbing:
- 36” circular needle two sizes smaller than
Needle Size A
- 1 set DPNs two sizes smaller than Needle Size A
(suggested size: US size 5 / 3.75mm)
