Sis Boom Meghan Peasant Dress & DIY cropped denim jacket
by Shannon Jordan Follow

I fell in love with Meg's Meghan dress she shared here on Kollabora and knew I had to make my own.  I used a jersey knit fabric and intended a shorter version but I think the long maxi length will be perfect for the fall weather around the corner.  The cropped denim jacket is a refashion from a denim shirt I bought for $4 at a consignment shop.  I just cropped it off at the waist and took in the side seams about one and half inches for a closer fit.  You can read more on my blog.

Love your dress- I think the maxi-version is awesome!!   I am honored that my dress could inspire such cuteness ;-)

PS: It's interesting that using the higher neckline actually had the effect of making the waistline lower.  I used the lowest neckline and ended up with an empire waist, whereas it looks like yours falls more at your natural waist, which I dig.

Thanks!! I still want one exactly like yours!  I know what you mean about the neckline.  I like the lower neckline but I like how mine sits at my waist too.
