Two Piece Setacular: Onyx & circle skirt are a great match
by Hanne Follow

This project was made for Stashvember, a month-long challenge I hosted with my friend Lieke from a Bouquet of Buttons in which we vowed to only sew from our stashes!

The fabric for these pieces had been in my stash since August, which isn't that long, but I really wanted to use it!  It's a discontineous brocade like fabric from Christian Wijnants, a Belgian fashion designer. The fabric literally was falling apart at the cutting lines, so I cut extra seam allowance and put it under the overlocker. Worked like a charm.

The top is Onyx by Paprika Patterns. It's finished with bias tape at the armholes, neckline and hem.
The skirt is a circle skirt. I used my go-to circle skirt template (drafted it once, using math, never have to think about it again) It's fully underlined to add a bit of extra strength to the fabric.

As always, more on the blog
